Leh - Sham Valley - Pangong Lake
After landing in Leh, get welcomed by our representative in a traditional way later get transferred to the hotel with a welcome drink at the time of check-in. Gradually get acclimatized to the climate later in the evening, roam around in the local areas and visit Leh Market, Leh Palace, and Shanti Stupa After visiting the local areas, back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Begin your day early with a delicious breakfast and prepare for an adventurous drive to the legendary ‘Sham Valley’. Visit the confluence of the Zanskar- Indus Rivers, which is also the world highest river rafting point experience the world-famous Hall of fame and learn more about the Indo-Pak wars and the martyrs, visit the Magnetic Hill, where you can witness the unusual phenomenon of vehicles sliding uphill on neutral gear. While returning to Leh, visit Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast in the hotel, prepare yourself for the ultimate adventure. The journey from Leh to Nubra falls on a very scenic route. Known as the gateway to the Shyok and Nubra valleys, the Khardung-La pass is the world’s highest all-season motorable road, also, enjoy the most loved snack – Maggi at the Khardungla Café. Enjoy your breakfast in the morning and move for Turtuk village it is known for its varieties of fruits, especially apricots. Turtuk was under Pakistani control until the war of 1971, when the Indian Army captured the village. It is the last outpost of India’s Ladakh. It is also one of the gateways to the Siachen Glacier. You can also look and a village of Pakistan form Turtuk. Return back to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Wake up in the morning in the beautiful Nubra Valley and have a scrumptious breakfast. Get ready for the most awaited day as you will be visiting Pangong Lake on the Indo- China border. One of the highest altitude saline water lakes, Pangong Tso will greet you with its changing colours from shades of blue to green to red. Spend the rest of the day exploring the surroundings of the Pangong Lake with the view of the Shyok river on one side and the mountains on another side.You can also recreate some of the moments from your favourite Bollywood movies like 3-idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan and enjoy the place in Bollywood style. Overnight stay and dinner at a campsite near Pangong Lake.
Wake up in the morning to the beautiful Pangong Lake view and have a delicious breakfast. As you mark your way back to Leh, take a small stopover at the Chang-la Pass, which is one of the highest mountain passes in the world. You can also visit the Chang-la Cafe, located just on the Changla Pass. Visit the Changla Baba Temple on top, after which the pass got its name and is believed to be the guardian of the people visiting Chang La. Further, visit the beautifully structured Thiksey Monastery and Shey Palace en-route, if time permits. Upon reaching Leh, rest for some time followed by dinner at the hotel. Overnight stay at a hotel in Leh.
Post breakfast; depart for Leh airport with a bag full of memories. Have a great journey towards your way back home.
